On the square’s northern side, in front of the Government Palace, stands the Grand monument of Chinggis Khaan. Seated to his left is his son, Ogedei Khaan, while his grandson, Khubilai Khaan, sits to his right. Flanking the central statue are two of Chinggis Khaan’s most trusted generals: Mukhulai on the left and Boorchu on the right.

Sukhbaatar Square serves as the central public square of Ulaanbaatar and was named in 1923 after the Mongolian revolutionary hero Damdin Sukhbaatar. It remains a focal point for national celebrations, cultural events, and visitors exploring the capital.
